The Jharkhand High Court today directed VKS to fill the pit dug next to the Ratan Heights building in Morabadi and stop the construction work that is endangering the lives of the residents of the said building.
The order came from the bench of Justice Rajesh Shaker, who reserved his decision on June 22 after hearing arguments from all parties in the petition filed by Ratan Height Society through advocate Indrajit Sinha.
The Supreme Court gave a deadline of one month to fill the pit. Besides, the court also ordered to break the boundary wall between Ratan Height Society.
Earlier, on February 6, the high court had stayed the construction of a new apartment started four months ago in the Ratan Heights neighborhood after the Ratan Height Society through its petition informed the court that after the builder VKS Reality dug a 35 feet pit adjacent to the plot of their apartment on Morabadi-Borya Road, due to which the entrance wall suddenly collapsed and a car parked there fell into a 35-feet-high pit on January 23.
